Margaret Boice
In 1922 Parades Chairman Fred Boice planned a pageant to illustrate the progress of transportation in Cheyenne. He asked his wife Margaret to help him by contacting her friends to ride in the carriages provided by their PO Ranch dressed in old-fashioned costumes. The parade was repeated in 1927 to great success. It was decided to hold a parade every year and the townspeople were asked to donate their old wagons and carriages. In 1941 Margaret Boice and her helpers named themselves the W-Heels a group which is actively involved in the parades today.
