Duane Von Krosigk
Duane Von Krosigk began his affiliation with Cheyenne Frontier Days™ in 1969 as a volunteer on the Night Show Committee. Appointed to Night Show Chairman in 1973, Duane was Ticket Chairman in 1974 and 1975. His Ticket Committee produced the CFD™ theme song, “Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Here We Go Again,” which is still used to promote the show today. As General Chairman from 1977 to 1979, Duane added the first Friday night show, starring Jerry Jeff Walker and Red Steagall. He created a club of ex-committee chairmen to help with CFD™, named the “Buckle Club”. Through his leadership and an exchange of property with the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce and Laramie County, Cheyenne Frontier Days™ obtained ownership of the “New Pavilion” building that now houses the Museum and CFD™ Headquarters. The committee also provided $100,000 as start-up money to make the Museum a reality.
