Jack Miller

Jack Miller has volunteered with Cheyenne Frontier Days™ consistently for 59 years beginning in 1949. He started by taking entry fees at Chute 9 and at night timing the chuckwagon races. Since then, he has been involved in with just about every aspect of Frontier Days. In 1964 Jack became a HEEL and was appointed Executive Director for Cheyenne Frontier Days™ in 1965, serving the operation for 14 years. Upon retiring, Jack has continued as a volunteer in Bull Alley, at the Bucking Chutes, in the timing booth and managing entry fees, cash boxes and the check cashing fund. Jack is proud of his family’s involvement in Cheyenne Frontier Days™ as well. Miller has always been an advocate of Cheyenne Frontier Days™ and continues to dedicate his time and money to the organization today. As Jack put it, “If the good Lord is willing and the river doesn’t rise… I’ll be back next year.”
