Romeo Entertainment Group
The role that Romeo Entertainment Group (REG) has played in 'Cheyenne Frontier Days (CFD) spans 30 years, dating back to 1982. Bob Romeo first set foot in the entertainment industry at the age of 16, when he began servicing fairs and festivals for his father's business, the Don Romeo Agency. He went on to developed his own lighting and production company called Four Star Productions, through which he designed the first retractable stage top for outdoor concerts. It was in 1982 that Bob was hired to provide a stage top and lighting equipment for the artist night shows at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Bob sold his production company in the mid-1980s and purchased the family business, ascribing it the current moniker, Romeo Entertainment Group. It was in 1988 that Bob was hired by then current CFD Chairman, Vern Felton, to produce the night show entertainment for Cheyenne Frontier Days. The first show REG booked for CFD was with artists Sawyer Brown & Randy Travis. Since that time, Romeo Entertainment Group has been booking night show entertainment at CFD for over two decades. A sampling of top name entertainment that Bob has secured for CFD over the years includes legends such as George Strait, Garth Brooks, Chris Ledoux, Time McGaw, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire, Alabama, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi, Kiss, Motley Crue, ZZ Top, Steve Miller Band, Def Lepard, among countless other artists. In addition to securing night show talent and attending CFD every year to oversee the night shows, Bob has guided CFD through not only entertainment matters, but has also consulted on production, ticketing, promotion, legal and logistical matters. REG traditionally donates money to the annual CFD party in Las Vegas at the National Finals Rodeo and donates annually to the CFD Building Fund and Volunteer Crisis Fund. Bob holds a membership to the CFD Old West Museum and is a member of the CFD Contract Acts Committee. He received the prestigious Cheyenne Frontier Days Forever Badge in 2011. Bob currently serves as the Executive Director for the Academy of Country Music, in addition to owning and operating Romeo Entertainment Group. Bob has merited multiple accolades for his achievements in talent buying and booking such notable events as Cheyenne Frontier Days, including two Academy of Country Music Awards for Buyer/Promoter of the Year and the Country Music Association's Talent Buyer/SRO Award.
