O.D. "Jack" Mueller

Em All” with people around the world. Jack began to volunteer in 1978 on the Security Committee. He had a favorite gate that he liked to watch, P11 by the PR Building. His peers have named him one of three volunteers to share a gate name on the park and so this gate is now called Jack’s Gate, which is where the contestants and volunteers enter the arena. Jack also acted as security for the CFD Western Art Show. Jack is the embodiment of a Cheyenne Frontier Days Volunteer and his enthusiasm for “the Daddy” has touched many people. Gene Bryant, a former CFD General Secretary, invited Jack to the 1987 National Finals Rodeo as a special advisor. Several past Chairman have sought him out for counsel. His selection as a HEEL in 1986 proves his devotion to the world’s largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration.
