Jim Hearne
Jim Hearne has been a CFD volunteer and leader for over 30 years. He first volunteered with the Contestants Committee in 1976, was elected to the HEELS in 1979, served as Contestants Chairman in 1984 and 1985, and became one of the youngest-ever General Chairman when he served in 1986, 1987 and 1988. In 1989, he was selected as chairman of the CFD Western Art Show, a position he has held ever since. His innumerable contributions to the “Daddy of ‘em All” include organizing bullfights for the first time, organizing the first Calcutta in 1985, reintroducing the Cattle Drive, introducing computers to CFD, upgrading the budgeting system for CFD and growing the Western Art Show into one of the most recognized and respected art exhibitions in the nation.
