Garth Brooks
Garth Brooks is the top-selling solo artist in American history and released his first album in 1989. Brooks performed at Cheyenne Frontier Days™ in 1991, 1993, and 1996. In 1996 for the 100th anniversary of CFD he shared the stage with Chris LeDoux to perform live for the first time “Whatcha Gonna Do with A Cowboy” the song they recorded together in 1992. Garth Brooks is known to wear a Cheyenne Frontier Days™ Buckle while performing and accepting music awards. Garth retired in 2001 to spend time with his family and came out of retirement in October 2009. His song “Beaches of Cheyenne” is about the fictional death of a bullrider at Cheyenne Frontier Days™.
