George Bruegman
A veteran horseman, George Bruegman was contracted to supply teams of horses to pull the rigs for the Cheyenne Frontier Days™ parades in the days when only horses were used. He raised and broke many teams himself, but always had to borrow additional teams from neighbors to provide the large number of horses needed for the parades. Old timers remember him trailing in long lines of teams from north of Cheyenne. As chuckwagon racing became popular, Bruegman took up the sport. George Bruegman was in charge of the Parade teams/Drivers Program from 1952 to 1987.
