Dan Taylor
A strong supported of rodeo and regular fixture at Cheyenne Frontier Days™ since 1944, Dan Taylor is perhaps one of the most highly regarded men in the arena today. With an unequaled longevity of 44 years as boss at Chute 9, a sure hand and a gentle manner, he has contributed immeasurably to the excitement and drama each year at the ”Daddy of ‘em All”. His professional diligence at Chute 9 coupled with his special bond for CFD that was forged in 1944 when he first competed here as a roper, has resulted in the highest of praise from contestants, volunteers, and committee members alike. In addition to his love of our annual celebration, Dan’s passion for the sport of rodeo has also resulted in him serving as the president of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association from 1986-1987.
