Steamboat

Voted the “Worst Bucking Horse of the Year” at Cheyenne Frontier Days™ in 1906 and 1907 Steamboat was truly a legendary bucking horse in the rodeo arena. From 1901 to 1914 Steamboat became famous for his ability to throw riders although contrary to popular belief there were cowboys who managed to ride to time. Clayton Danks took the championship at Cheyenne Frontier Days™ in 1907 on Steamboat. Owned by the famous Irwin Brothers Steamboat made his last appearance at a show in Salt Lake City in 1914. Receiving a serious wire cut from a corral where horses had spooked Steamboat contracted blood poisoning and had to be put down.
